The last few years has seen an explosion of dialect created for FatChance® style. If you’re vintage-curious or a proud vintage-revivalist, my Vintage Treasures workshops will broaden your dance history and grow your dance vocabulary with some vintage old school flair. I curated each workshop to bring back to life steps and formations that have been altered or lost in the evolution of FatChanceBellyDance® style. From Figure 8’s to Arabic 1-2-3’s to Vintage Sword duets, Kathy shares with you the entire family of slow and fast moves used in the vintage era and the early days of FatChanceBellyDance®. Teaching FatChance® style/ATS® belly dance worldwide since 2002, Kathy is a certified FatChance® instructor, FCBD® Partner Studio, and was an early member of FatChanceBellyDance®. Joining FatChance® when the troupe and dance form were only 7 years old, Kathy brings a unique historical perspective to FatChance® style and to the history of the dance company.

During her tenure with FatChance®, Kathy was involved in the making of two instructional Tribal Basics DVDs: the original Tribal Basics Vol.4: Advanced Workshop (now released as Vol.4: Embellishments & Variations) and Vol 5: Cues & Transitions, and is included in the DVD The 20 Year Retrospective, Director’s Cut. She also participated in the creation of FatChance’s first theater show and performance video titled The Gypsy Trail, Antiquity & the Avant Garde.

Recognized as the longest continuous student of FatChance® style, Kathy is a beloved teacher and mentor. She loves traveling the world sharing her passion and devotion of FCBD® style belly dance to all levels of dancers. Kathy has taught sold out workshops at the world’s leading Tribal Festivals and has been interviewed in several dance publications including being the featured cover story for Zagahreet Magazine, Sept 2013 issue.
